Chamberlain
Fate's Got A Driver (25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)
Certain records have a lasting impact on music fans and Chamberlain's iconic Fate’s Got A Driver is one of those transformative albums. Released by Split Lip in the mid-'90s, it immediately signaled a shift in the punk/hardcore scene, a change solidified by the band's rebranding as Chamberlain with the album's subsequent re-release. Guitarist Adam Rubenstein recalls the pivotal role this album played in shaping Chamberlain’s identity, born from youthful naivety and intense experiences—like late-night drives to James Dean’s gravesite and vocalist David Moore pushing his voice to the point of physical strain. Balancing school and personal lives while teetering on the brink of disbanding, the band managed to create eight songs that have stood the test of time. To honor the album’s legacy, Arctic Rodeo released this special edition vinyl release, featuring colored vinyl, four bonus tracks, and a 16-page booklet, all housed in an embossed gatefold jacket with a die-cut front. "We’re thrilled to see it back in print," says Rubenstein, reflecting on the album's enduring significance and the fond memories it continues to evoke for both the band and its fans. Spartan is thrilled to stock a limited number of this special deluxe anniversary edition.
