"'You Don’t Mean It' was one of those instances where we found ourselves with the complete composition before we were really aware of it," explains vocalist Brooks Paschal. "It was a testament to the amount of detail you can put into a song when it comes so naturally in its inception. Lyrically, I just needed there to be an unsettling darkness to satisfy the landscape I had in my head. The song is direct and aggressive and demands that you explore the characters and their meaning more."
Heavy Is The Head marks Sullivan’s long-awaited return after a seven-year hiatus. The record features 11 impressive tracks like "What's Good For The King" and "You Don’t Mean It" that showcase the band's dynamic range and thoughtful songwriting. Sullivan's resurgence is felt throughout the record in the form of unrelenting energy and a driving creative force that seamlessly picks up where they left off years ago.
